Virginian-Pilot March 11, 1931
COOK – At the U.S. Naval Hospital, Portsmouth, Va., Sunday, March 8, 1931, at 8 
o’clock, JAMES W. COOK, JR., son of Rebecca Smith Cook and the late James W. Cook, 
aged 38 years, 7 months and 27 days.
Remains were taken from the Gregory Funeral Home, Thirty-fourth and Granby street, 
to the residence, 107 East Thirteenth street. Funeral services from the above 
residence TUESDAY AFTERNOON at 3 o’clock. Friends of the family invited to attend. 
Interment, Elmwood Cemetery.
