Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch December 26, 1914
Mrs. Josephine Cook, wife of Charles Cook, died at 8 a.m. today, at her home, 1128 
Brambleton avenue, after a protracted illness, in her 52nd year, being well-known 
and highly esteemed. She is survived by her husband and a sister, Miss Nannie 
Cone. The funeral occurs next Monday at 3 p.m. at the residence, Rev. F. G. Davis 
officiating. Interment in Elmwood cemetery.
