Margaret Bishop Fitchett Cook, 94, formerly of Whitechapel Road, went to be with 
her Lord on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, in a Virginia Beach health care center. Born 
in Raleigh, N.C., she was the daughter of the late James C. Fitchett and Ella 
Virginia Bishop Fitchett and was the widow of Frank B. Cook. Mrs. Cook was a 
member of First United Methodist Church in Norfolk.
Survivors include two daughters, Doris C. Turner of Chesapeake and Peggy C. 
Rother of Victoria, Texas; a son, Robert B. Cook of Virginia Beach; seven 
grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Elmwood Cemetery by Dr. 
James M. Becker. The family will be at Cox Funeral Home on Wednesday from 7 
until 8 p.m. for visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of 
the donor’s choice. Condolences may be offered to the family through
