Mary Elizabeth Cook, 86, of the 1600 block of E. Ocean View Ave., died July 25, 
1994, in Norfolk. Miss Cook was born in Norfolk and was a member of St. 
Andrew's Episcopal Church. She was the daughter of the late Daisey Drummond 
Cook and Willard Ransom Cook and was also preceded in death by a sister, Madge 
Cook Baker, and a nephew, Robert Lindsay Baker. Survivors include a niece, 
Madge Baker Dowe of Virginia Beach; and three nephews, William T. Baker of 
Charlotte, N.C., David Perry Baker of Norfolk and Willard Ransom Baker of 
Squim, Wash. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in 
Elmwood Cemetery by the Rev. Charles A. Joy. The family will be at her 
residence. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling 
arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to 
the Lions Eye Bank.
