The funeral of Miss Marie E. Cook, who departed this life at her home, 401 Bute 
street, Monday afternoon, was held from the apartments of Funeral Director H. D. 
Oliver, 520 Freemason street, at 4 o’clock, yesterday afternoon. The service was 
conducted by Rev. R. A. Drake of Sacred Heart Catholic church. The remains were 
laid to rest in St. Mary's cemetery.

Miss Cook was a former resident of New York, but had only resided in this city a 
few months. Her illness was for some weeks. Her surviving relations are a sister, 
Miss Catherine J. Cook of Norfolk and a brother, William T. Cook of Green Point, 
L. I.
