Norfolk Journal and Guide,Saturday,Sep 1,1962
Final rites were held Saturday for James Arthur Cook of 7021 Gregory Drive at
New Calvary Baptist Church. The Rev. Samuel Wilson officiated. Burial was in
Calvary Cemetery.

A native of Norfolk, Mr. Cook was a deacon and one of the pioneers of New
Calvary Baptist. He was also a past master of the Masons.

His survivors include a cousin, Mrs. Ruth Valentine of Norfolk.
