Virginian-Pilot October 7, 1918
Mrs. Kitty Enue Cooke, age 75 years, widow of Edward Cooke, died at 10:15 o’clock 
yesterday morning at the home of her son, E. L. Cooke, 1507 Granby street. She 
leaves her sons, E. L. and W. C. Cooke, both of Norfolk, and a sister, Miss Nettie 
Acree, of Richmond, Va. The funeral will be held from the Cooke residence, 1507 
Granby street, at 4 o’clock this afternoon. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery.
