Virginian-Pilot March 6, 1965
NORFOLK - Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Cracraft Cooke, 85, of 12-B Holland Apartments, 
widow of Charles Vaughan Cooke and daughter of Dr. William Allen and Mrs. Mary Key 
Cracraft, died Friday at 5:05 a.m., in a hospital.
A native of Wheeling, W.Va., she had lived in Norfolk since 1906.
Surviving are a son, William C. Cooke of Charlotte and two grandchildren.
The body will be taken from H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Elmwood Cemetery 
for a funeral service today at 3 p.m. by the Rev. Walton Davis of Old St. Paul’s 
Episcopal Church, of which she was a member. The family requests that flowers be 
omitted.
