Funeral from late residence, 310 Boissevain Avenue, at 2 p.m. MONDAY. Interment private. Kindly omit flowers. ****************** Mrs. Sarah Colgate Cooke, relict of the late Mordecai Cooke, died at her home, 310 Boissevain Avenue, Ghent, yesterday morning in the 91st year of her age. Her husband was distinguished as a lawyer in Norfolk, where he practiced his profession for many years. The deceased was the daughter of Jacob and Esther Klein of this city, her father having been a wealthy merchant. She was born in Norfolk in the year 1818, and passed her entire life in her native city. Being of most prominent family connections she leaves a host of friends in this community. She was a woman of a beautiful type of Christian character and was the oldest member of Christ Episcopal Church. She is survived by three children, a daughter, Mrs. George McP. Batte and two sons, Henry S. Cooke and Willoughby T. Cooke, all of Norfolk. The funeral will be held from her late residence Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock. ******************************************************************************* The funeral of Mrs. Sarah Colgate Cooke, relict of the late Mordecai Cooke, was held from the residence, 310 Boissevain Avenue, Ghent, at 2 o'clock p.m. yesterday and was attended by a large concourse of the friends of the deceased. The sermon was conducted by Rev. F.C. Steinmetz of Christ Episcopal Church and Bishop A.M. Randolph of the Diocese of Southern Virginia. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery. Following were the pallbearers: R.A. Dobie, D.S. Burwell, M.T. Cooke, W.M. Cooke, W.C. Whittle, Murray Forbes, L.W. Tazewell and Pay Director W.W. Galt, U.S.N.
