Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark Saturday April 26, 1924
Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Cooper, aged 62, widow of Warren W. Cooper, died Thursday 
midnight at her residence, 332 West Thirty-first street.  She was a native of 
North Carolina and had lived here for the last 15 years.  She is survived by four 
daughters, Mrs. Minnie Mae Morse, Mrs. Mary J. Buchanan, Mrs. Carrie Norris, of 
Portsmouth and Mrs. T.B. Gray, of Ocean View; two sons, Clyde, of Portsmouth and 
Julian Cooper, of Tampa, Fla., a sister, Mrs. D.W. Godwin and five grandchildren.  
Funeral services will be conducted at the residence tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 
o'clock, conducted by the Rev. G. H. Newbury, pastor of Park Place M.E. Church.  
Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
