The deceased had been in failing health for some time, but her death was by no means expected. The deceased was a native of North Carolina, but had been residing here for the past several years. She was 35 years of age. After the remains had been viewed by Coroner Kight he decided that an inquest was unnecessary, his decision being in accord with the above. The funeral will be conducted from the residence this afternoon at 4:30 o'clock and the interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery. ***************************************************************** The funeral of the late Mrs. Annie Cooper was conducted from the family residence, 318 South Main Street, yesterday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock. Rev. T. McN. Simpson, pastor of Memorial M.E. Church, officiated. Interment was in Magnolia Cemetery. Mrs. Cooper was found dead in her home Wednesday morning at 6 o'clock by her husband, Jesse Cooper, who is very much affected. When he found that his wife was cold in the grasp of death he fell unconscious by the side of the bed on which her remains were resting.
