Norfolk Virginian, Tues., Aug. 27, 1895, pg. 3

Miss Rosa Cooper, aged 22 years and two months, died Sunday at 9:30 p.m. at the 
residence of Mrs. Mary E. Holmes, 112 Wide Street. Funeral took place from the 
residence yesterday at 5 p.m.

The funeral of Miss Rosa E. Cooper took place from the residence of Mrs. Mary 
E. Holmes, No. 112 Wide Street, yesterday afternoon at 5 o’clock and was 
conducted by Rev. Wreen.
The interment was in Elmwood. The pall-bearers were: H.L. Walton, James White, 
J.N. Jones, S. White, J.C. Sawyer, and S.J. Cotton
