Cooper Sr., 55, of 869 W. 36th St., owner of Cooper’s Electrical Contracting Co. and retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard, died Monday in Leigh Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Norfolk and worked at the shipyard 20 years. He was a World War II veteran. He was a member of the Tidewater Area Business League, National Business League, and master electricians, City of Norfolk. Survivors include three daughters, Ms. Dianne C. Cooper of Blackburg MD, Mrs. Darlene A. Perry of Columbus GA, and Mrs. Doretta D. Perry of Chesapeake; three sons Isaac E. Cooper Jr., George G. Cooper, and Sgt. Garland D. Cooper of Chesapeake; two sisters, Mrs. Dosie Peebles and Mrs. Arlene Berry of Norfolk; and six grandchildren. A funeral will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in New Calvary Baptist Church by Dr. Milton A. Reid. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with military honors at the grave. Jones Funeral Home has charge. The body will be in church at 11 a.m. Saturday.
