Mrs. Copeland Dead; Last Rites Thursday

NORFOLK -- Mrs. Elizabeth Copeland, 78, 626 E. Berkley Ave. Extended, died 
Monday morning at the residence. She was the daughter of Ransom and Mrs. 
Fannie McCoy.
She was the wife of Josiah Copeland, a native of Norfolk, and a member of 
Greater St. James AME Church since childhood.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Fannie Riddick, 
of New York City, and Mrs. Mary Linnette, of Norfolk; one son, Harry 
Copeland, of Norfolk and two sisters, Mrs. Harriet Anderson and Mrs. Mary T. 
Simmons, both of Norfolk.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. James Church by 
the Rev. D.W. Mack, pastor. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery. The 
Pretlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
