Norfolk Journal and Guide, Nov 30,1963
Norfolk - Mrs. Bertha Copeland of 816 E. 27th street, who died in a local 
hospital Nov. 22, received final rites Tuesday at Bethel Seventh Day Adventist 
Church.

Elder James Thomas officiated at the service.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery 
with Graves Funeral Home in charge.

A native of Florence, SC, Mrs. Copeland was a retired teacher who served in the 
public school system there.

She is survived by a son, John Patterson of Norfolk.

(Note: death certificate name is Bertha Copeland, not Beulah)
