Norfolk - Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Copeland of 818 Maltby avenue, who 
died Nov. 28 in her home, were conducted Tuesday in Antioch Baptist Church by 
the Rev. J. W. Matthews.  Burial followed in Calvary Cemetery with Graves 
Funeral Home in charge.

A native of Williamston, NC, she was a daughter of Charlie Freeman and the late 
Mrs.  Lener Freeman and the wife of James E. Copeland.  She was a member of 
usher board No. 1 of Antioch Baptist Church.

Besides her husband and father, surviving are sons, James Felton Williams and 
Charles R. Williams, both of Washington;  two daughters, Mrs. Alice Biggs of 
Washington and Mrs. Doris Price of Paris, France;  four brothers, Felton Freeman 
of Charleston, SC;  Walter Freeman of Williamston and Johnnie Freeman and 
Charlie Freeman of Philadelphia;  and two sisters, Miss Elnora Freeman of 
Baltimore and Mrs. Polly Rovers of Philadelphia.
