Virginian-Pilot, November 16 & 17, 1927
Oliver Copeland, a former resident of Norfolk and at one time a member of 
Norfolk COuncil No. 2, O. F. A. died in Richmond yesterday. No detais of his 
death had been received here last night. The body will arrive at Norfolk this 
morning and will be taken to the Paul B. Warren funeral home, 362 W Princess 
Anne Road, pending funeral arrangements.

Oliver Cromwell Copeland, aged 62, died in Richmond Tuesday morning at 10:30 
o'clock. He was a former resident of Norfolk and a member of Norfolk Council 
No. 2, O. F. A. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ella Copeland of Baltimore; 
three sisters, Mrs. John Ward, Mrs. E. G. Privott and Mrs. Jakeman, of 
Suffolk, and five brothers, Louis, Kale, Xenophon, Herbert and Herman 
Copeland. Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 2 o'clock from 
Paul B. Warren's funeral apartment, 362 W Princess Anne Road, by the Rev. L. 
E. Smith, D. D., pastor of the Christian Temple. Burial will be in Cedar Grove 
Cemetery
