NORFOLK - Mrs. Ella B. Copeland, 89, widow of Oliver C. Copeland, died 
Thursday at 4 a.m. in a nursing home.

A native of Virginia Beach and a resident of Baltimore 40 years, she lived 
here three years. She was a daughter of William H. and Mrs. Annie Savage Brown.

Surviving are four cousins, Miss Florine Copeland and Mrs. S. A. Leary of 
Norfolk, Miss Lois Savage of Knoxville, Tenn., and Mrs. George Ballard of 
Harriman, Tenn.

A funeral service will be held in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Saturday at 
1 pm. by the Rev. William L. Lumpkin of Freemason Street Baptist Chruch, of 
which Mrs. Copeland was a member. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
