Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, January 29, 1991 
Georgia Dodson Copes of the 900 block of Anna St., a retired schoolteacher, died
Jan. 26, 1991, in a hospital.

Mrs. Copes, a Norfolk native, retired from the Norfolk public schools after 40
years. She was a member of First Baptist Church Bute Street, Ada Chapter of the
Order of Eastern Star and the local, state and national education associations.
She was the widow of Lucius Copes.

Survivors include a grandson, William Watson of Norfolk, and a great-grandchild.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church Bute
Street by the Rev. Robert G. Murray. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The
body will be placed in church at 10 a.m. Family and friends will assemble at 971
Anna St. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
