CORBELL, aged 31 years. The funeral will take place from the Colley Memorial Presbyterian Church TUESDAY, November 16th, at p.m. Friends of the family invited to attend. ******************* ENDS LIFE AFTER ATTENDING CHURCH W.H. Corbell, Despondent Because Of Ill Health, Shoots Himself Continued ill health, causing despondency, is the reason assigned for the act of W.H. Corbell of No. 411 Colley Ave., a brick contractor, in taking his own life, by shooting himself with a pistol, Sunday afternoon about 3 o'clock. Mr. Corbell was alone in a room when the rash deed was committed, his wife being the first to make the discovery. It is thought that the deceased bought the weapon Saturday for the purpose of ending his life. Friends who have known him intimately are of the opinion that the deceased killed himself while temporarily insane, superinduced by extremely bad health, which has continued for eighteen months or more. Mr. Corbell attended Sunday school at the Centenary Methodist Church and when he went home he complained of feeling badly. Immediately after dinner he went upstairs and it was then that the report of the pistol was heard by his wife. The coroner and the Second Police Precinct were notified of the suicide. The deceased was 31 years old and was well known in Norfolk. His widow, who was formerly Miss Minnie Traylor; his father, W.R. Corbell; a brother, W.W. Corbell and two sisters, Mrs. Clara P. Lynch of Malden, Mass. and Mrs. Herbert Jones of Norfolk, survive. W.W. Corbell, the brother, who was out of the city at the time, returned yesterday afternoon. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock from Colley Memorial Presbyterian Church, conducted by Dr. Miner and Dr. Robertson, both of whom were warm personal friends of the deceased. The interment will take place at Cedar Grove. Additional Comments: Harry W.
