Norfolk Ledger Dispatch January 12, 1943

Mrs. Raffaela DeStefano Corleto, aged 70, widow of Louis Corleto and daughter of 
Joseph and Mrs. Felecia DeStefano, died at the residence, 117 West Eleventh 
Street, last night at 10:45 o'clock. Mrs. Corleto was a native of Italy and had 
been a resident of Norfolk for 51 years. She is survived by five sons, Felix, 
Joseph, Rocco, Louis and Anthony, all of Norfolk and two sisters, Mrs. John 
Calabrese and Mrs. Belletine. The body was taken to the H.D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments, 1051 Colonial Avenue, and will be taken from the residence to Sacred 
Heart Catholic Church, for funeral services Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. 
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the 
residence Wednesday night at 8 o'clock. Mrs. Corleto was a member of Curore de 
Maria Gorizia Lodge No. 619.
