Virginian-Pilot January 17, 1913
The body of Richard D. Cornick, of Norfolk, whose death occurred in Richmond 
Wednesday, arrived here yesterday. He was a Confederate veteran and a member of 
the Bricklayers’ Union. He is survived by a widow, a daughter, Mrs. McCall Pale, 
of Norfolk, and a son, E. L. Cornick, of Savannah, Ga. The funeral will be held at 
the apartments of Funeral Director H. D. Oliver, 610-612 Freemason street, at noon 
today and will be conducted by Rev. Dr. David W. Howard, of St. Luke’s Episcopal 
church. Burial private in Elmwood cemetery.
