Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, May 13, 1998 
Elouise L. Cornick of the 700 block of Marcus St. died May 9, 1998, at her
residence.

Born in Norfolk, she was a registered nurse for 31 years with the Chesapeake
Health Department. She was a member of Basilica of St. Mary's Immaculate
Conception and the Commonwealth of Virginia Nursing Alumni Association. She was
a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, Class of 1924, and also
graduated from St. Phillips School of Nursing in Richmond. She was predeceased
by her parents, Nancy Wilson Cornick and Henry Cornick.

Survivors include a special, devoted cousin, Georgia Yancey of Chesapeake; and a
host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in Basilica of St. Mary's Immaculate
Conception, Roman Catholic Church, by Monsignor Walter Barrett. Burial will be
in Calvary Cemetery . The remains will be ready for viewing Thursday at 3:30
p.m. There will be a wake service from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Carlos A. Howard
Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge. The family will assemble at 11 a.m.
at the funeral home for the procession to the church.
