NORFOLK — Miss Mary Virginia, Correia, 65, of 1526 Shelton Ave., a lifelong 
Norfolk resident and secretary for St. Mary’s Academy, died Wednesday in her
home.		

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Survivors include three cousins, Mrs. Veronica Steward of Portsmouth, and Mrs. 
Lanier Powell and Mrs. Catherine Mahoney of Newport News.

A prayer service will be held in St. Mary’s Catholic Church today at 2 p.m., 
followed by a Christian Wake service there tonight at 7:30. A Joyful Mass of the 
Resurrection will be celebrated in St. Mary’s Church Saturday at noon by the Rev. 
Fr. Thomas J. Quinlan. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The family asks that 
flowers be omitted and memorial donations may be made to the Ella Maye Smith 
Memorial Fund, 232 Chapel St., Norfolk.
