NORFOLK — John L. Correia, 73, of 1526 Shelton Ave., former assistant manager of 
Norfo1k Elks Club, died Sunday in a Norfolk hospital.
He spent his early life in New Bedford, Mass., and lived in Norfolk 52 years. He 
was the husband of Mrs. Mary Mariner Correia and a son of John L. and Mrs. 
Virginia Correia.
He was a member of Norfolk Elks Lodge 38.
Besides his widow, surviving are a son, John M. Correia, and a daughter, Miss Mary 
Virginia Correia, both of Norfolk; and two sisters, Mrs. Alfred Cody and Mrs. 
Virginia Ramos of New Bedford.
The rosary will be recited in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments tonight at 7:30.
A funeral service will be held in St. Mary’s Catholic Church Wednesday at 10 a.m., 
with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
