Corey died at one of the city hospitals at 11:20 o'clock yesterday morning after an illness of six weeks, in the 72d year of his age. The deceased was widely known and highly esteemed in this city and section as a man of sterling character. For many years he conducted the ship chandlery and machine supply business which gave him an extensive business acquaintance. He is survived by a widow, two daughters, Mrs. W.L. Moore, of Berkley Ward; Miss Margaret L. Corey, and four sons, W.H., C.R., and H.H. Corey, all of Norfolk and Nelson Corey, who resides in Mexico. The deceased was a 32d degree Mason, an active Shriner and a member of Lafayette Lodge of Odd Fellows. ******************************************************************** The funeral of the late W.H.H Cory will be conducted from his late residence, 212 Pine street, this afternoon at 4 o'clock and the interment will be in Cedar Grove cemetery, Norfolk proper. The Masonic and Odd Fellows fraternities of which the deceased was an esteemed member, will attend the funeral in bodies.
