Norfolk Virginian February 18, 1893
The funeral of Mr. Michael Coston, one of the oldest firemen of this city, took 
place yesterday afternoon from the Cumberland Street M. E. Church, and was 
conducted by Rev. W. G. Starr. The attendance was very large, including the Fire 
Department, in charge of Captain Thomas Kevill. The interment was in Elmwood 
Cemetery. The pallbearers were:
From the Fire Department — M. J. Ryan, George Seddinger and J. H. Rose.
Citizens — T. S. Webber, R. Exner and M. Archibald.
