Norfolk - A funeral service for Miss Sadie J. Cotton of 1370 O’Keefe street was
held Thursday in St. John AME Church by the Rev. W. L. Hildebrand.  Burial was
in West Point Cemetery with B. F. King Funeral Home in charge.

Miss Cotton died May 2 in a hospital after a short illness.  A native of
Norfolk, she was a daughter of the late Phillip Cotton and Mrs. Bettie Mackey
Cotton.  She was a self-employed seamtress, a Sunday school teacher at the
church and a member of a garden club.

Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Annie Russell of Virginia Beach.
