Norfolk Journal and Guide, Saturday, Feb 14,1942
Funeral services for Hillary Cotton, husband of the late Mrs. Rose Cotton, who
died February 4, in Piedmont Sanatorium, Burkeville, VA, were conducted at the
First Baptist Church, West Norfolk, Sunday afternoon, at 3:30 o’clock, with the
pastor, the Rev. A. Johnson, officiating.  Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery,
with arrangements handled by Pritchett’s Funeral Home.

Surviving are his father, John Cotton;  brothers, John and George Cotton;  and
two sisters, Mrs. Julia Mitchell, of Norfolk;  and Mrs. Elizabeth Davis.
