Virginian-Pilot  November 8, 1911
The funeral of Samuel J. Cotton was held from the apartments of Funeral Director 
H. D. Oliver at 11 o’clock yesterday and was conducted by Rev. Father E. J. Walsh, 
of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. There were handsome floral tributes. The interment 
was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Following were the pallbearers: J. A. Butt, W. H.
Hargrove, H. F. Moore, H. M. Duke, Frank Ferguson and C. H. Davis.
