Final rites for Mrs. Elizabeth Council, of 2717 Monrovia drive, were conducted 
March 27 at St. Mary Holiness Church, where she held membership.  Elder Mary 
Johnson was the officiating minister.

Mrs. Council died March 24 in a Norfolk hospital after a long illness.

She is survived by two sons, Joseph Artis and Leroy Council;  two daughters, 
Gloria and Vivian Council;  two sisters, Mrs. Mary Copeland and Miss Maggie 
Artis and one brother, Leroy Artis.

Burial was in Paige Cemetery with Graves Funeral Home in charge.
