Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch March 19, 1918
Information was received here last night of the death of Richard Hamilton Couper, 
of New York city, following a brief illness which suddenly developed into 
pneumonia. His father, William Couper, the noted sculptor, formerly of Norfolk, 
who was in this city on business yesterday, was hurriedly recalled to his home but 
the death of his son ensued before his arrival there.
