Norfolk Journal and Guide, Jan 31, 1970
Norfolk - Funeral services were held Jan. 25 in First Baptist Church, Lamberts 
Point, for Mrs. Irene Brown Cousins of 1356 W. 43rd street.  Burial followed 
in Calvary Cemetery with Hale Funeral Home in charge.  The Rev. James Jasper 
Freeman officiated at the rites.

Mrs. Cousins, a native of Richmond, was the daughter of the late Mrs. Hannah 
Brown and the widow of Thomas Cousins.  She was a member of First Baptist 
Church, Lamberts Point, and the Widow’s Club, Missionary Society, Pastor’s Aid 
Club, Women’s Bible Class and Gospel Chorus at the church.

Three sons, Claude H., Anthony E. and Reuben Cousini, all of Norfolk, survive.
