Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, April 30, 1993 
Dorothy L. Cowan of the 1200 block of Colonial Ave., a retired self-employed
beautician, died April 26, 1993.

She was born in Northampton County, N.C., and was a Baptist.

Survivors include two sons, Lisbon Cowan of New York and Midget R. Cowan of
Norfolk; three sisters, Lessie M. Roberts and Mozell C. Winston, both of
Norfolk, and Byrdell C. Branch of Portsmouth; one brother, E.G. Cowan of
Norfolk; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in C.H. Mason Memorial Church of
God in Christ by the Rev. David Williams. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . A
wake will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk, is
handling arrangements.
