Funeral services for Miss Ruth Z. Cowell, 21, of 710 Wildwood street were 
held at Church of God in Christ Jan. 14, with Elder Harvey Dunlap 
officiating. Miss Cowell died Jan. 11 in a Norfolk hospital. She was a 
native of South Norfolk and a member of the Church of God in Christ, 
Berkley.

Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Mary Spruill, South Norfolk; three brothers, 
Augustus of Norfolk, Isiah Jr., South Norfolk, and William M. Cowell of 
Connecticut.

Burial was in Mount Olive Cemetery with Fitchett Funeral Home in charge of 
arrangements.
