Mrs. Charlotte Martha Cox, 72, daughter of the late Abner and Mrs. Martha Morris 
Grandy, died at the Virginia Beach Hospital yesterday at 1 a.m.
She is survived by a son, J. Herbert Cox, of Cleveland, Ohio, and two sisters, 
Mrs. Eva Harris, of Portsmouth, and Mrs. Fannie Bell, of Norfolk. Mrs. Cox was a 
native of Shawboro, N.C., and had been a resident of Norfolk most of her life, 
residing at 1407 Lafayette Boulevard.
The body will be taken from the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home to the Fairmount 
Park Free Will Baptist Church, of which Mrs. Cox was an active member, for 
funeral services today at 4 p.m. The body will lie in state an hour prior to the 
services. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
