Virginian-Pilot, May 10, 1910
The funeral of Mrs. Harriett Cox, whose death occurred at the home of her g
granddaughter Saturday in the 90th year of her age, was held from the residence a
at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon. The service was conducted by Rev. Vernon F. A
Anson, D.D., of Grace Baptist Church, Norfolk. The interment was in Elmwood C
Cemetery.
Following were the pall-bearers: J. T. Camp, Willis Burfoot, M. L. Powers, E. 
A. Binns. The deceased was a native of North Carolina, but had resided here for 
thirty-two years. She is survived by the following children: Jacob W. Cox and 
Mrs. Little Dowdy, both of Shawboro, N. C.; Mrs. Ellen Flora, Mrs. Lizzie Snow 
and Mrs. Nora Baker, all of Norfolk.

Additional Comments:
Burial was in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Norfolk, VA.
