Born in Norfolk, he was employed by Krisp-Pak Co. and attended First Baptist Church, Lamberts Point. He was the son of the late Bessie Cox and William Cox Sr. Survivors include three sisters, Molie Cox Baynes and Mary F. Cox, both of Chesapeake, Geraldine Cochran of Norfolk; three brothers, William M. Cox Jr. of Chesapeake and Jerry Cox and David Cox, both of Norfolk; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. A funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Lamberts Point, Norfolk, by the Rev. Anthony Paige. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery , Norfolk. The body will be placed in the church on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Family and friends will assemble at 1409 Oliver Ave., Chesapeake, on Wednesday at 11 a.m. for the funeral procession to the church.
