Virginian Pilot December 23, 1975

Largo, Fla. - Gordon L. Cox, 87, of 8798 Kenwood Road, retired mine 
superintendent with Kopper Eastern Gas & Fuel Co., died Monday in a hospital.
A native of Oliver Springs, Tenn., he was a member of the Princeton (W. Va.) 
Rotary Club and a Presbyterian.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Margaret) Kyle of Largo; two sons, 
Gordon L. Cox Jr. of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Donald M. Cox, of New York; a sister, 
Mrs. F.Y Cross of Knoxville, Tenn., seven grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren.
H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, is handling arrangements. Memorial 
donations may be made to a charity of choice or building fund of First 
Presbyterian Church, St. Petersburg.

COX, GORDON L. - In a Largo, Florida, hospital, Monday, December 22, 1975, 
GORDON L. COX, husband of the late Mrs. Evelyn B. Cox and son of the late 
Pembroke S. and Mrs. Margaret Patton Cox, in the 88th year of his age. A 
graveside service will be held in St. Mary's Cemetery Monday at 3 p.m. with H.D. 
Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, in charge.
