He was one of the best known men on the Berkley side of the river where he had made his home more than sixty years. He was a son of the late Thomas and Mrs. Mary Maidens Coxon, of Nottingham, England. Besides his wife, Mrs. Lucy Humphries Coxon, he is survived by an adopted daughter, Mrs. Samuel M. Simpson, of Virginia Beach, where Mr. and Mrs. Coxon had lived several years. He was a watch maker and was connected with the firm of C. Fred Greenwood, of Norfolk, more than fifty years. He was a charter member of Berkley Lodge, No. 167, A.F. and A.M. The funeral services will be conducted at the funeral apartments of E. Lee Cox, 402 Berkley avenue, at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon and burial will be in the family lot in Magnolia Cemetery. The Masonic lodge which he helped to organize has been called out in a body to attend the funeral services.
