VINCENT'S Sister Stanislaus In Her 94th Year -- Cared For Civil War Wounded Sister Stanislaus Coyle, a member of the Sisters of Charity at St. Vincent's Hospital, died at that institution at 1:10 o'clock yesterday afternoon. She was in the 94th year of her age. Sister Stanislaus before entering the convent was Miss Catherine Coyle and was one of the oldest and best known members of the Sisters of Charity, having been a member of that order for the past fifty-six years. During the past twelve years Sister Stanislaus was stationed at St. Vincent's Hospital where she made many friends. She always had a cheerful word for those in the institution as well as visitors to the hospital. Although quite feeble from old age she took an active part in the work at the hospital up to two years ago, when she retired. Sister Stanislaus was born in Ireland and came to the United States when quite young. During the Civil War she took an active part in caring for the sick and wounded at St. Louis, Mo. She had been stationed in Milwaukee for a great many years preceding her transfer to St. Vincent's Hospital in Norfolk. Six years ago she celebrated her golden jubilee.
