Norfolk Journal and Guide, June 25,1960
Charlie E. Cradle, 50, of 1337 Outten street, died Tuesday at Norfolk 
General Hospital.

Son of Louis Cradle and deceased was a native of Mesic, NC. His funeral will 
be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday at St. Mark’s Community Church, with the 
pastor, the Rev. Zack Pittman, officiating.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under direction of Hale Funeral Home.

Mr. Cradle had been employed by Youder’s Garden and Paint Center.

Survivors of the deceased include a sister, Mrs. Lilly Topin, a brother, 
Louise Cradle Jr.; two daughters, Mrs. Charlotte Borner and Miss Macie 
Cradle.
