Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark December 19, 1919

Mrs. Josie Annette Craig, wife of Joseph H. Craig, died at her residence, 
833 Thirty-sixth street at 11:30 o'clock yesterday morning.  Mrs. Craig was 
40 years old.  Besides her husband, she is survived by her mother and the 
following children:  Misses Helen L., Mary Annette, Marie Isabelle, Ethel 
Virginia, and Evelyn Gray Craig and Joseph Henry, William Floyd, Roland 
Linwood and Edward Irvin Craig; two brothers, Horace and Robert Gray and by 
her sister, Miss Margaret Gray.  The funeral will take place from the 
residence next Sunday.  The hour will be announced later.

The funeral of Josie Annette Craig, wife of J.H. Craig, took place at the 
residence, 833 West Thirty-sixth street, yesterday afternoon at 3:30 
o'clock, Rev. E.P. Minor officiating.  Among the numerous floral offerings 
was a standing wreath from the Norfolk police department.  John Anderson 
sang, "Rock of Ages" and "No Burdens Yonder" during the service.  Burial was 
in Elmwood Cemetery.  Following were the pallbearers:  W.F. Arnold, J.G. 
Moser, J.C. Bowden, W.K. Wilkerson, W.J. Cooper and A.P. Holschumaker.
