The Virginian-Pilot, Monday, December 15, 1969

NORFOLK - Mrs. Effie Craig of 2767 Monrovia Drive died Sunday in a hospital.

A native of Windsor, N.C., she was the widow of William T. Craig and a daughter 
of the late Dempsey and Mrs. Mamie Howard.

She was a member of Faith-Apostolic Church.

Surviving are three sons, Leroy Craig, Clinton Craig, and Willie Craig of 
Norfolk; six daughters, Mrs. Minnie Smith, Mrs. Pearl Reed, Mrs. Mary Daniels, 
and Mrs. Emma Fitzpatrick of Philadelphia, Mrs. Bettie Walker and Miss Neva 
Craig of Norfolk two brothers, James Howard of Norfolk and Willie Howard of 
Philadelphia; 30 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

The body was taken to graves Funeral Home.

The family will assemble at 306 W. 35th St., Apt. 6.
