Norfolk - Mrs. Bessie Gaines Crallie of 1126 Elliott St., the wife of Charles 
Crallie and a native of Philadelphia, died Monday, Feb. 17,in a hospital.

She was a former co-owner of Broadway-Manhattan Taxi Co.  She was a member of 
Mt. Olive Baptist Church.  She was organist for New Mt. Zion AME Church, 
Bollingbrook, and member of the Fortnightly Club and Snails Social Club.

Survivors also include five cousins, Joseph A. Sattersfield and Mrs. Dolly 
Porach of Norfolk, Mrs. Alease Wynn, Mrs. William White, and Mrs. Melvin White 
of Philadelphia.

A funeral service will be held Saturday at noon in New Mt. Zion AME Church by 
the Rev. William Baxter.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, with Graves 
Funeral Home in charge.
