Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, June 5, 1997 
Virgia M. Crawley, 78, of the 800 block of St. Paul Blvd., died June 3, 1997, in
Lafayette Villa Nursing Center.

A native of Rushmere, Va., she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth
Crawley. She retired from Ballard Fish and Oyster Co. after 36 years and was a
member of Garden of Prayer Temple COGIC, Norfolk, and a member of the usher board.

Survivors include two daughters, Mildred Arrington of Clayton, N.C., and Marion
McMillian of Norfolk; two sisters, Leola Bowser and Lucy Williams of Norfolk;
four grandchildren, Vandel, Shirvon, Sanora and Michelle; six grandchildren; and
a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by brothers, John Crawley and Willie Crawley.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in Riddick Funeral Service Chapel.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . A viewing will be held at the funeral home
today from 2 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at the
funeral home.
