Norfolk - Mervis Credle of 1707 Springfield avenue, the husband of Mrs. Annie 
Mae Credle, died in a hospital.

A native of Scranton, NC, he was a son of the late Lafayette and Mrs. Mollie B. 
Credle.

He worked for Ford Motor Co. assembly plant here 21 years.

Besides his widow, surviving are a son, Ivan Credle of Norfolk;  two daughters, 
Mrs. Marilyn Lloyd of Brooklyn and Mrs. Loretta Robinson of Norfolk;  three 
brothers, Kelly Credle of Chapel Hill, NC, John Nelson Credle of Chesapeake, and 
Alan Credle of Portsmouth;  a sister, Mrs. Hattie Gamble of New York and two 
grandchildren.

Graves Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
