Credle died at the home of her son-in-law, Phil Roskam, in the Ideal Apartments, Holt and Chapel streets, at 7:45 o'clock Wednesday evening after a brief illness of pneumonia in the 62d year of her age. The deceased was formerly of Swan Quarter, N.C., but had been a resident of Norfolk over seven years. She was well known and universally esteemed for her many Christian virtues. She is survived by a son, W.B. Credle, who is captain's orderly on the U.S.S. Vermont, now on its route to the Pacific coast; a daughter, Mrs. Phil Roskam, of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. A. Berry, of Swan Quarter, N.C. and Miss Mollie McClaud, of Landing, N.C., and two brothers, W.B. Swindell, of Swan Quarter, N.C. and J.D. Swindell, of Littleton, N.C. The funeral will be solemnized from Epworth Methodist Church, of which she was a member, at 11 o'clock this morning, and will be conducted by the pastor, Rev. George E. Booker.
