She was born in Robersonville, N.C., and was the widow of Mervis Credle. She had retired from Old Dominion University and was a member of the Mount Lebanon Baptist Church Campostella in Norfolk; Senior Choir and Usher Board. She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Lloyd of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Loretta Robinson of Chesapeake; one son, Ivan Credle of Newport News; four sisters, Ruth Peterson and Judy Poe of Camp Springs, Md., Virginia McIntosh of Diamond Bar, Calif., and Esther Harvey of Cherry Hill, N.J.; five brothers, Leo Townes and Willie Dugger of Philadelphia, John Dugger and Timothy Townes of Robersonville, N.C., and William Dugger of Brooklyn, N.Y. A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Mount Lebanon Baptist Church and will be conducted by the Rev. Dr. Ronnie Joyner. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Norfolk.
