Brambleton avenue, were conducted Thursday in Metropolitan AME Zion Church by the Rev. R. A. Councill. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Riddick Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He died May 29 in a hospital after a short illness. A native of Princess Anne County, he was a son of Frank Nichols and Mrs. Ella Creecy and the husband of Mrs. Ollie Creecy. He was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church and was employed by R. D. Lambert and Sons. Besides his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Mis Earnestine Creecy, Miss Eula Mae Creecy, Miss Paulette Creecy and Betty Creecy, all of Virginia Beach; a stepdaughter, Miss Ollie York; and a stepson, James York of Norfolk; seven sisters, Mrs. Maggie Wesley of Virginia Beach; Mrs. Geneva Butts, Mrs. Irene Bazemore and Mrs. Viola Nichols of Norfolk; Mrs. Goldie Butts of Chesapeake, Mrs. Martha Ann Pruden of Washington, DC, and Miss Mary Nichols of New York City; brothers, Isiah Nichols and Clifton Nichols of Virginia Beach, James Creecy and Clarence Nichols of Chesapeake; and three grandchildren.
